I recently traveled to Colorado for a weekend trip. It was my first time there, and it was awesome!! I went with my boyfriend. We met up with my sisters and brother-in-laws. I had a blast–did a lot of climbing and hiking.
I wore my vibrams to Boulder. Our day there was short, but climbing was fun. It was a beautiful view and a great introduction to the beautiful mountains views to come.
The following day, I ended up purchasing a pair of bright pink sneakers because I forgot my vibrams at my sister’s place before we headed out to Estes Park. Though I love the shoes, they didn’t quiet go with my outfit. Regardless, the climb to Lily Mountain was successful. And here’s a loooong photo story for you!
I also thought I’d share with you a few things to do in Colorado that are affordable but fun.

I love fall colors. I was soaking up every last bit of summer, but now I’m ready for autumn. Something about all the dark hues of the rainbow against the golden leaves in the fall just makes life…full. I also like fall because of the fashion weeks. I share 3 ways I stay update-to-date during fashion week here.
But all that aside, I spent a quick weekend in the twin cities and we (the boyfriend and I) went on a downtown stroll. Okay, it was more like a quick downtown shoot. And yes, he took all the photos.
Even though this particular day wasn’t cold, it wasn’t warm. I opt for this dolmain cardigan for extra warmth, but wore a sleeveless chambray top in case the weather did warm up. I added the mustard pants for some fall color. I finished with the black loafers for comfort (heels are not always this girl’s best friend). READ MORE
I spent a weekend in the twin cities. Everytime I head up there, my boyfriend and I always hit up the pet shops to see the puppies. I was tempted to bring this one home…but I didn’t. (Isn’t it cute though?). While our trips there are usually short-lived, I enjoy seeing furry babies.
I also requested that we go to his secret skyline spot. He granted, but we had to bike there. I haven’t biked in years and it was a scary little adventure. I also got motion sickness, regardless, the view was beautiful. I definitely have editorial ideas up my sleeves. We also stopped by a nearby park to walk around and relax.
I went to visit my boyfriend a few weeks ago, and we went to the sculpture garden in Minneapolis! Last time I was in MN we went to Minnehaha Falls. (I know–trying to hit all the tourist spots lol).
Sadly though, some sculptures were not present and the greenhouse area was closed due to construction so we didn’t get to see much. Even so, I didn’t let that ruin my moment. I mean, the infamous spoon was there!
I loved sight seeing and I wish we could’ve walked around more but the day that we decided to go visit the park was the COLDEST day that weekend. It was in the high 30’s but felt like 10 degrees. I obviously wasn’t planning on the weather being that cold so I didn’t bring any jackets with me. Hence, I had to rock the boyfriend jacket (borrowed from the boyfriend).
Yes, the utility jacket looks slightly–okay, very oversized, but I think I made it work. Plus, it definitely kept me warm. Well, here’s a small glimpse into our short & sweet visit to the sculpture garden.
