Why you shouldn’t avoid the Kids Section || Grey tee & Maxi Skirt

Hello Hello,

Do you ever walk out of a store feel mighty fine. Then come back the next day only to realize you could’ve gotten a better deal on a shirt or a skirt? I know I have.

I don’t shop often so when I do, I try to hit all my favorite shopping areas and all the different departments and clothing sections.

When it comes to shopping in different sections or departments, I don’t discriminate. The men section always have cool tshirts, the boys section has nice thick sweaters. The women section has great work wear or business casual wear. The young women/teen girls section has nice trendy pieces. The little girls section has great skirts & dresses for a fraction of the price.

However, there are times when I don’t have the time to sort through all the different sections of a store. After going through the women and young women sections, there is one section I always make sure I hit before I head out the door.

Can you guess which section it is? It’s the little girl section!! Why? Because sometimes the girl section has the same exact products as the women, but at a fraction of the price. With trendy kid clothes nowadays, I always check the little girl area. Plus, as a petite women, the proportion (or the cut) on the girl blouses actually fits better than a women-sized blouse.

Even if you’re not petite or not into petite fashion, you should still check out the little girl section. You never know what you can score!

Like this maxi skirt I’m featuring in this outfit. I got it from the little girl section at Target. I saw the pleated maxi skirt on the clothing rack, and I knew I had to have it. I love the subtle vertical stripes, I love the pleats. I also love the color; it’s perfect for fall. I love the unique pattern and detail on the skirt. Last but not least, I love the length of this maxi skirt. It’s not too short and not too long.

To finish the outfit, I went with a grey t-shirt to compliment the very subtle shades of grey on the skirt. I wore a pair of tan sandals for a neutral look since the skirt is quite the statement.

This outfit is fun. To transition this summer outfit to a fall outfit, just simply add a knit cardigan and a scarf! If you want to be a bit more trendy, add some cool colored socks. Strappy heels are the best kind of heels to style with thin colorful socks =)

And there you have it my friend. The next time you are going to check-out of a store, make sure to visit the kids department prior to your check-out.

Do you shop at the kid’s sections? Let me know in the comments! I know I do =)
Thank you for reading. As always, I wish you the best.
