Spring is finally here! But unfortunately, this also means that March is half way through. Even so, I will welcome warmer weather with open arms.
For today’s look I went with a spring minimalist outfit. I added a sleeveless blazer (similar here and here) to give a formal touch while still keeping the outfit casual and chic. I like the minimal elements of this look. The colors are READ MORE
Are you looking to make extra cash? Or simply want to get rid of some old clothes? Whether you need the cash or just need to clear out your closet, here are a few places you can turn to to help you with selling.
I’ve used all of these methods at some point of my life and I will say that they work. While these ideas may not make you a millionaire, they are great platforms to sell your clothes:
1) Plato’s Closet/Local thrift stores that buy: I put this one first because I think this is the quickest way to see results. You bring your unwanted clothes to them, they sort it out and give you a price for the clothes they want to buy from you. Now granted, sometimes these stores may take a lot or nothing at all from you so the cash you make may vary. Regardless, this option will still give you something.
2) Thred Up: Thred Up is an online platform that buys your gently used clothes or put it on cocosignment (meaning they’ll give you the money after your items has been sold). Their website has a calculator page that helps give you an idea on how much you could make and what brands you can send to them. Also, thred up conveniently sends you their dotted bag to your front door, making shipping easy for you. READ MORE
Last week was International Women’s Day. A day to celebrate and recognize the movement for women’s rights. I wanted to recognize that day because it’s important, and I could not not include it in a blog post.
I’ve been blessed to have many strong women in my life. Women who inspires me, empowers me, and challenges me. Women who are courageous and bold, women who are compassionate and kind, women who are strong and intellectual, women who are caring and humble…they’ve shown me that strength and courage are not mutually exclusive to kindness and humility.READ MORE
If you don’t already know, I am quite petite. I stand shy of 5 ft. I don’t always hunt for clothes labeled “petite” but if I find a brand that does offer clothes in petite sizes, I am forever a committed customer. Though I shop any where and almost everywhere, I do find that most petite clothing embodies my frame better. The sleeve holes are not as long, the dresses hit right at the waist, jeans hit the ankles correctly, and so on.
People often ask me where I shop for petite clothes. The truth is, I shop at regular stores just like them too. But there is an online store that kind of took my breath away and I’ve been shopping there since: ASOS
Yeap. Asos–where I buy most of petite clothes online. I bought a lot of my dresses (everyday dresses to bridesmaid dresses) and shoes from there.
This is one of my favorite dresses from Asos. I love the way it fits and the style. See full post here.
