To Strong Women || Loafer Mules & Jeans

Hello Hello,

Last week was International Women’s Day. A day to celebrate and recognize the movement for women’s rights. I wanted to recognize that day because it’s important, and I could not not include it in a blog post.

I’ve been blessed to have many strong women in my life. Women who inspires me, empowers me, and challenges me. Women who are courageous and bold, women who are compassionate and kind, women who are strong and intellectual, women who are caring and humble…they’ve shown me that strength and courage are not mutually exclusive to kindness and humility. They’ve shown me that I can be myself and express myself in anyway I want, that I can be fashionable and intellectual, that I can be courageous and compassionate, that I can fight and care, that I can be lead and cry.

But as women, I also want us to recognize that we’re all different and we should appreciate our differences. Different in physique, different in mentality, different in emotional response, different in religious beliefs. But these things should challenge us to learn from one another, to understand one another.

And as individual women, I want you to know that you don’t need to compare yourself to others. You have your own strengths, your own talents. Your body will change, your world view will change, your taste in certain things will change and that’s okay. Change is suppose to happen, but always remember that you are you, and that change is part of who you are. Don’t be afraid to learn from others and to teach others. And don’t be a bully.

So here’s to the strong women I know, and to me that I may be a strong woman, and to us that we may raise strong women.

Thank you for reading. And now about this outfit, I’ve been wearing these loafer mules (similar here and here) for a while and I love them! I didn’t think I would like them as much as I do, but I do. They’re comfortable, easy, and convenient. I love the loafer look and the slipper style. So for now, these loafer mules are my go to shoes. I’ve been wearing them almost everywhere I go…even to work.

I went with a pair of light-washed skinny jeans and an abstract tunic (also like this one). Then finished with a choker ribbon (similar here and here). This look is casual and easy.

Thank you for reading. Do you like loafer mules? Let me know!
And, pin your favorite photo =)
As always, I wish you the best.
